Sicilia Vineyards, nestled at the foothills of the Sutter Buttes in Yuba City, California, is the culmination of David Smith and Sandie Adams' vision and perseverance. Since acquiring the property in 2004, David's dream of cultivating a vineyard took root, inspired by the land's historical significance and the rugged beauty of Sicily. With guidance from mentors like Reece Cordi and consultant Diego Barison, and the support of dedicated partners, Sicilia Vineyards overcame challenges, including unexpected encounters with water lines and relentless battles with gophers. Sandie's diagnosis with breast cancer in 2012 added another layer of resilience to their journey, yet her unwavering support remained integral to the vineyard's flourishing.
Today, after five successful harvests, Sicilia Vineyards proudly presents its wines under the Sicilia label, including Primitivo, Barbera, and the unique Due Bianchi blend. Collaborations with esteemed wineries like Montolivia, Mastroserio, and Rockwall underscore Sicilia Vineyards' commitment to quality and innovation. As David and Sandie anticipate sharing their wines with enthusiasts through a future tasting room onsite, their excitement reflects the passion and dedication that define Sicilia Vineyards.
