Welcome to Soroptimist International Of Marysville - Yuba City, a dedicated chapter of Soroptimist, a global organization committed to empowering women and girls in our local communities and across the globe. With a presence in approximately 120 countries and territories, Soroptimist boasts a membership of over 80,000 business and professional women who share a common vision: to improve the lives of women and girls worldwide. The name "Soroptimist" encapsulates our mission, signifying "Best For Women." At our core, we are women at our best, driven by the purpose of helping others to be their best.
Our local Soroptimist members form clubs that shape the focus of their volunteer efforts, all with the shared goal of creating positive change. Our initiatives span a wide spectrum, ranging from the renovation of domestic violence shelters and the provision of mammograms to low-income women to hosting self-esteem workshops for teenage girls. In addition to our community-based projects, Soroptimists participate in organization-wide programs designed to make a significant impact. These include the Soroptimist Live Your Dream Award, Soroptimist Club Grants for Women and Girls, the Soroptimist Workplace Campaign to End Domestic Violence, the Soroptimist Violet Richardson Award, and Soroptimists STOP Trafficking.
