How many people do you know who ride bikes? And how many do you think could benefit from biking? As many people assess their health, wellbeing, and environmental impact, it’s a great time to promote active travel. May is Bike Month is a fun and FREE program designed to encourage more people to hop on the saddle of a bike and ride.
The 16th annual May is Bike Month challenge is a Sacramento Region-wide initiative hosted by SABA - Sacramento Area Bicycle Advocates. The Challenge is FREE and offers a virtual team-building experience for staff, volunteers, friends, families, and children 13 years or older. It is a fantastic way to engage the community, and it helps people and organizations achieve health, wellness, and sustainability goals.
Teams of up to ten people will compete within a pool of ten randomly selected Teams, and encouragement is at its heart. We want riders to build each other up and encourage more people to ride. As an incentive, all new riders will earn double points for their Team – that’s a great reason to get a diverse set of riders on your Team and discover the joys of riding. It is not too late to join!
