Spring Extreme is Back for a Second Year, April 1st and 2nd YUBA CITY, California - More than 150 demolition derby, tuff truck, and mud bog competitors will gather for California’s largest extreme motorsports event, Spring Extreme, to compete for their portion of the $50,000 purse. The event starts at 12pm on April 1st and 2nd, 2023 at the Yuba-Sutter Fairgrounds and will feature local and national competitors as well as California’s first Youth Class for demolition derby and mud bog. “We are excited to bring Spring Extreme back to the Yuba-Sutter Fairgrounds,” says Blane Williams, Owner of Williams Enterprises, LCC and promoter of Spring Extreme, “Our team has worked hard to top last year’s event and grow the extreme motorsports community in California.” Spring Extreme will have three new classes added to its lineup this year: Most Wanted Fine Arts (MWFA) Stock Derby, Youth ‘80s Chain Derby, and Youth Stock Mud Bog. “The goal of the Most Wanted Fine Art Stock Class is to open the sport to people who usually aren’t exposed to demolition derbies or have barriers to access,” says Jason Sauer, creator of Most Wanted Fine Art Stock Derby Class. Spring Extreme opens at noon on Saturday, April 1st with a crowd favorite, Power Wheels Demolition Derby; children ages 3 to 8 compete in a bumper car style derby in 6-volt or 12-volt stock power wheels. Following, the “Legends of Derby” will be honored. At 1pm, four classes of Derby competitors (Stock Derby, Truck and SUV Derby, MWFA Street Derby, and Youth ‘80s Chain Derby) will take the arena for qualifying heats, specialty classes, and the $10,000 main event. At noon on Sunday, April 2nd, Spring Extreme once again opens with Power Wheels Tuff Trucks; children ages 3 to 8 compete on a miniature obstacle course in 6-volt or 12-volt stock power wheels for best time. After, six classes of trucks: Stock Tuff Truck, Modified Tuff Truck, Stock Mud Bog, Modified Mud Bog, Outlaw Mud Bog, and Youth Mud Bog will take to the course and bog to compete for fastest time and number one spot. In attendance will be Jason Sauer with Most Wanted Fine Art, as well as announcer Scott Heaton, of RoadNoise Entertainment. Track Shot Live will be present to live stream Spring Extreme worldwide through Facebook and YouTube. A portion of the proceeds from the Spring Extreme will be donated to Field of Dreams Inc, a non-profit aimed at providing outdoor experiences like hunting or fishing to children with disabilities and current or former United States military members. General Admission tickets are $20 per day for children 10 and under, and $30 per day for adults.
