Join science teachers, naturalists, and a teaching artist for a gentle hike at nearby Gray Lodge. Enjoy great views of wildlife and the Sutter Buttes. The 9,100 acre area is managed for the wildlife which includes reflective ponds, grassy fields and wooded riparian areas which are home to more than 300 species of resident and migratory birds and mammals. There will be nature journaling and photography stops (20-30 minutes) along the way. The trails are good, and the footing is solid for this gentle outing. The program is funded by a grant from the CA Department of Parks & Recreation. Free, but registration is required.
