This is a nationwide event that local high school students participate in. Students choose a poem from a list of 1,000 titles, memorize them, and then present them to the public.  The winner from each county moves on to the California State Poetry Out Loud competition and, if successful, they will receive a trip to Washington DC. This is the second and final date for this years competition. Both Yuba & Sutter Counties will be competing at the 6pm time frame. Seats are first come, first served. Winners will be notified via email and announced on social media.
