Event Description
Join us for Part III of this special series of lectures to learn about the environmental history of Yuba-Sutter. In this series, local author and historian David Rubiales will discuss the natural landscape as it existed before the arrival of human beings, use of the landscape by Native Americans, changes wrought by early settlers, impacts of the Gold Rush and hydraulic mining, and the introduction of modern agriculture.

You can still enjoy this presentation if you missed Part I and II! Rubiales will provide a recap and overview of his previous lectures before beginning this presentation. His brand-new book "Saddleback Ranch: 3000 Years of Nature and Man, Part 2" will be available in the Museum Gift Shop.
