Knocked Loose is an American hardcore punk band from Oldham County, Kentucky, formed in 2013 and currently signed to Pure Noise Records. The band released its debut studio album, Laugh Tracks, in September 2016 through Pure Noise Records, which was followed by A Different Shade of Blue in 2019. Their 2021 EP A Tear in the Fabric of Life incorporated elements of death metal and was released to widespread critical acclaim. They released their third album, You Won't Go Before You're Supposed To, in 2024. Extreme music rarely shows its face within the mainstream but every so often there is an exception that manages to eclipse the entire heavy music scene and peak through the pop-culture bubble. Knocked Loose has seemingly done so with their latest LP, You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To. Crafting an album that’s equal parts unforgivingly heavy and sonically grandeur is an arduous feat, and You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To is airtight in its delivery of these aspects throughout its 27 minute runtime.
