Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge Join our birdwatching expedition on November 2, 2024! We will take a charter bus to the Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge from the Yuba Sutter Arts building at 624 E St., Marysville, CA 95901.
These outdoor equity program is open to ONLY Yuba County and Sutter County residents. If you are not a resident, you are not allowed to register.
This is a FREE event that requires a $20 deposit for each person that will be returned to you in cash at check in on the day of the event.
A tentative agenda for the day includes leaving Marysville at 8 a.m., a stop at the visitor center, a two-mile self-guided walking tour led by our embedded ornithologist, Liam Huber, a six-mile auto tour including a stop for lunch, and an art session with our embedded artist, Pam Nowak. We plan to return to the Marysville location between 5:00 p.m.
Please dress for variable weather, as this trip will be held rain or shine. It is recommended to bring rain gear if there is a chance of rain, mud boots or hiking boots if it has been raining, and binoculars. Pack a lunch, snacks and water will be provided.
This trip is for all ages. Everyone must be registered and must pay the $20 refundable Any minors under 18 years of age are REQUIRED to attend with a parent or guardian. No exceptions.
