Yuba Sutter Chamber of Commerce - Event Information

Event Name:
Design Thinking with Industry & Government

Event Type(s):
Community Events

Description:
The Yuba-Sutter region is rich with potential!   Please join The Hacker Lab as we seek to identify, unite and engage the communities’ innovators, entrepreneurs and makers through a series of strategically formed events, to explore launching an Innovation/Maker Space.

Each event is designed to speak to a specific segment of the innovator culture and community; while determining the level of community support; assessing the scope of program, resource, and access requirements; and communicating the benefits to individual, business, public, and institutional stakeholders.

Using Stanford's d.school Design Thinking Process, we will facilitate a Design Session where you'll be able to help the industries in your backyard creatively solve problems.

This is a free event and is sponsored by Yuba Community College District, Community Memorial Museum of Sutter County.

The hacker Lab is bringing YOU together with a variety of different Yuba-Sutter stakeholders, to share process, productivity, business, and workforce needs; by joining small-group discussions in the application of a Design Session, we will collectively discover creative solutions.

No need to bring anything except your ideas - be ready to share what you've been thinking about or what you're planning to work on. We provide the sticky notes, markers, and snacks!

Hacker Lab is a community space for coworkers, makers, entreprenuers, and small businesses. With both a Midtown and Rocklin location, Hacker Lab offers over 25,000 sq ft of coworking space, prototyping equipment, and private offices.
