Yuba Sutter Arts is in our eleventh year of sponsoring Poetry Out Loud! Poetry Out Loud involves poetry memorization and recitation. There are 1,000 approved poems that run the gamut of eras, themes and styles. The list resides at poetryoutloud.org. Students select a poem and commit it to memory. On February 5th, we will host the local Sutter County competition, in the Burrows Theater in Marysville. A county champion will go on to the state finals in April.
Our local first, second and third place winners receive cash prizes and all participants get pizza and a gift card.
