LEADership Yuba-Sutter
LEADership Yuba-Sutter attended State Government Day at the CA. State Capitol. They had a presentation from Assemblymen Gallagher and Cooper, Senator Nielsen, CalChamber, UCAN, the Governor’s Appointments Office and the amazing Curtis Grima (Chief of Staff for Assemblyman James Gallagher).
The Chamber offers more than 100 opportunities each year for businesses to connect to each other and the broader community. This is in addition to activities specific to educational or informational programs designed to help area businesses grow and thrive.When you start attending these functions on a regular basis, your chances are excellent for cultivating new customers. Event Name:Unconscious Bias Training Description:This will be an interactive session that combines lecture with hands on activities designed to help individuals connect cognitively and emotionally with the content. The trainer specializes in a humanistic approach to teaching unconscious bias that allows participants to explore in a learning environment that fosters self-discovery rather than defensiveness. We will define unconscious bias and discuss the neuroscience related to it. We will look at the many ways it manifests from selection bias, to value attribution to group think. Finally, we will focus on strategies for mitigating deeply ingrained stereotyping both at the individual and institutional levels.
