Four women meet once a year for a ritual photo shoot, chronicling their changing (and aging) selves as they navigate love, careers, children, and the complications of history. But when these private photographs threaten to go public, relationships are tested, forcing the women to confront who they are and how they’ll deal with whatever lies ahead. 20TH CENTURY BLUES is a sharply funny and evocative play by Obie Award and Susan Smith Blackburn Prize-winner Susan Miller that questions our place in the world and with one another.

Mental Health First Aid is an early intervention program.  It teaches adults how to recognize the signs and symptoms of a potential mental health challenge, how to listen nonjudgmentally and give reassurance to a person who may be experiencing a mental health challenge, and how to refer a person to appropriate professional support.
The workshops are designed to teach people how to approach, assess and provide assistance to someone who may be in the early stages of developing a mental health challenge or already in a mental health crisis.
Topics covered include depression and anxiety, trauma, psychoses, suicidal thoughts, developing a self care plan, dealing with panic attacks, identifying a substance abuse crisis, and working with cultural differences and mental health.  Lists of resources will be provided, which will prove invaluable in directing people to local agencies who can provide a wide variety of assistance and support.  We use a variety of teaching tools, such as videos, class discussions, group activities, role play, independent worksheets, body movement exercises, and lecture.

Join the conversation.

Successful schools are the foundation of a vibrant community.

What does a great school look like today? How are schools responding to the changing needs of students and families, and the community?

Now is the time to rethink what is possible in public schools. Last year New Pacific School started working to bring a new type of public school
choice to our region: a small, safe, and inclusive education tailored to every child’s unique learning style. We recently opened a school in Roseville, and we are planning to open one in Yuba City.

We want to hear your perspective. Join a casual conversation which is part of our larger effort to engage with local families, organizations, and leaders in your neighborhood. Your experience with local youth and families can make a brighter future for all.

You’ve seen the movie a million times, but you’ve never seen Cinderella like this!  In this silly spin, we meet Cinderella, the fast-talking sales dynamo of the Castle Shopping Network (CSN).  As the winner of the Fairytale Land Advertising Award Necklace (FLAAN) for several years running, she is the apple of her stepmother’s eye.  After all, CSN is a family business, and Cinderella’s stepmother is the CEO…  and her biggest fan.  But now, those pesky stepsisters have invented a product so popular they just might take the top sales spot at this year’s FLAAN Ball!  Merry Mike, who wears tacky Christmas sweaters year-round, also dreams of winning the coveted award.  Cinderella has a prince and his Fairy Godfather on her side, but she needs to come up with something truly amazing to win back her top sales title before the midnight deadline.  As she attempts to save her career, she finds love and discovers that not only can she can have it all, she can make her own dreams come true!  You’ll love the balanced line count of this smart and snappy parody on home shopping networks.  Five optional commercial spots create up to 15 additional small roles.
