This year on Thursday, October 6th at the Yuba Sutter Fairgrounds,  the Chamber will  host the Annual Taste of Yuba-Sutter.

This phenomenal community event attracts more than 500 participants both local and visitors, and will showcase Yuba-Sutter restaurants, breweries and wineries.

Build a support system with people who understand.
 
Alzheimer’s Association support groups, conducted by trained facilitators, are a safe place for care partners of people living with dementia to; develop a support system, exchange practical information on challenges and possible solutions, talk through issues and ways of coping, share feelings, needs and concerns, and learn about community resources

Join Yuba Sutter Marketplace for a fun afternoon of pumpkin decorating and children’s costume contests on October 22nd.

We will have two sessions, one from 12:30pm – 1:30pm and another from 2pm – 3pm! The Sanderson Sister characters will be here to oversee the event & costume contests! After the final costume contest, at the end of the event, we will announce the winners of our Build Your Own Scarecrow Contest!

Register for your session HERE!

  • Space is limited, so advance registration is required. Registration is $10 per family or party of 5 people.
  • One ticket per family or party of 5 people.
  • If you have more than 5 people in your party, please purchase two tickets or more accordingly.
  • Each ticket includes 3 pumpkins, decorations to decorate together and participation in the children’s costume contest.
  • We will have two (2) sessions. 12:30pm – 1:30pm and 2pm-3pm.
  • Costume contests will begin at 12:45pm and 2:15pm. There will be two age groups for each costume contest. Infant to 5 years old and 6 years old to 10 years old. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes for each age group.
  • The event will be held inside at the South Court near Journeys & DeVons Jewelry.
  • *The Sanderson Sister characters are not the actual Hocus Pocus Disney actors.

You do not need a ticket if you are only coming to see the announcements for the Scarecrow Contest. That will begin after the final session of costume contests.

Saturday mornings, October 29th, is the date for the Yuba-Sutter-Colusa United Way’s 10th annual Live United-Run United, Spooktacular River Run. This 5K and 10K run/walk is a family event, fun for all ages.

Once again, the run/walk will traverse the Feather River levees, beginning and ending at Gauche Aquatic Park in Yuba City. 2021’s event drew 225 runners/walkers and netted over $10,000!

Funds received from the 2022 Live United-Run United, Spooktacular River Run benefit the Yuba-Sutter-Colusa United Way’s 27 non-profit Partner Agencies as well as providing funds for our new Born Learning Academy that provides education and support for parents of children birth through age five.
