The Sutter County Museum is pleased to unveil three paintings on large, overhead panels installed within our main entrance gallery. Paintings were completed by two Northern California visual artists, Nicolai Larsen and Madelyne Joan Templeton, and depict vivid images of our unique Sutter County landscape.
This project was funded by a community grant from Yuba Sutter Arts & Culture; the funds for this project are re-granted through the American Rescue Plan from the National Endowment for the Arts.

Build a support system with people who understand.

Alzheimer’s Association support groups create a safe, confidential, supportive environment or community and a chance for participants to develop informal mutual support and social relationships. They also educate and inform participants about dementia and help participants develop methods and skills to solve problems.

Please come prepared with a face mask and hand sanitizer.

Our Family Caregiver Support Groups are not for the person with the diagnosis.

Experience an exquisite multi-course meal paired with whiskey from Heaven’s Door.

Heaven's Door is a collection of handcrafted American Whiskeys co-created with Bob Dylan. Each bottle of Heaven's Door showcases Dylan's distinctive welded iron gates he created in his studio, Black Buffalo Ironworks.

Ken Pierce, an industry veteran, was brought on as Master Distiller to lead the project from design through distillation. Ken began his illustrious career with Barton Brands Distillery, initially working as Senior Chemist to Director of Distillation and eventually becoming Master Distiller. Ken was instrumental in the development of 1792 Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey and its limited release expressions.

“I was honored to be chosen as Master Distiller for the Pleasureville project,” said Pierce, “The Heaven’s Door Distillery has been an incredible project, from inception to production of our first barrels. For me, this is a living legacy of my 40 years in the industry and my passion for making great whiskey.”

Heaven’s Door is proud to lead the way in sustainable distilling, utilizing two underground aquifers to access pristine limestone water for its distilling as well as geothermal heating and cooling of the buildings. Through its dedication to sustainable practices, the distillery cultivates its own heirloom grains and recycles protein-rich mash from the fermentation process as feed for cattle on surrounding farms.

Experience an exquisite multi-course meal paired with wine from Prisoner Wine Company.

When our first wine, The Prisoner, was released two decades ago as a complex blend of some of California’s best and most unusual grape varieties, it swiftly and permanently changed the perception of what a red blend wine could be.

Since then, we’ve grown to include a range of rule-bending blends with provocative label designs, being recognized by fans and wine critics alike as one of the most bold and innovative wine brands in the market, leading the resurgence of California luxury red blends and earning “cult” wine status.

Today, our Director of Winemaking Chrissy Wittmann and her team work with over 100 growers in northern California, bringing together exceptional fruit to produce a family of intriguing wines unrestricted by tradition. The Prisoner Wine Company is located on the legendary Highway29 in Napa Valley and welcomes visitors year-round for unexpected, immersive experiences.

We will be serving a set menu, so if you have any dietary restrictions please be sure to inform us in advance so that we can make an accommodation.
