He Hit Me, She Took My Toy- Coaching Your Children Through Sibling Squabbles
Wednesday, March 2, 2022
Restaurant owners juggle a wide array of employee responsibilities and challenges. Employment law in the restaurant business poses some specialized problems. Restaurant owners will be equipped to handle key employment law issues after participating in this workshop. Highlights will include answers to the following:
  • What is the difference between a service charge and a tip?
  • When can a supervisor share in the tip pool?
  • Do I have to provide uniforms?
  • Can I require employees to be “on call” or work split shifts?
  • Can I deduct cash shortages from paychecks?
Join Murphy Austin employment law attorney Shawn Joost, and your fellow restauranteurs, for a discussion of these and other important topics.
Shawn M. Joost is a Labor and Employment attorney, who advises companies in all areas of employment law, including employment classification, employee termination, leave decisions, wage and hour matters and drafting effective and enforceable employment policies, and executive employment agreements.

Murphy Austin Adams Schoenfeld LLP is a premier business law firm in the Sacramento region with practices focused on Labor and Employment, Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation, Commercial Litigation, Commercial Real Estate and Construction, Corporate and Business, Nonprofits, Public Contracts, Tax and Estate Planning. The Yuba City Walk Volunteer Committee invites you to a virtual Leadership Roundtable for the 2022 Yuba City Walk to End Alzheimer's. We want to invite all businesses and community leaders to be a part of a small team of professionals networking for one hour to help us grow our 2022 Walk to End Alzheimer's.

We are not asking you to serve on the Walk Planning Committee or Executive Leadership Team, but would like to take this opportunity to gather community feedback on who you think may be good volunteers and on organizations who could lead our community in the fight against Alzheimer's disease.

This networking and community leadership opportunity will be held via Zoom on Wednesday, March 2, from 5:00 - 5:45 PM. Can we count you in to attend the Yuba City Leadership Roundtable?

If you are interested please contact the Walk Manager at 530-433-1803 or at hnwood@alz.org and register in advance at https://tinyurl.com/YubaCityLRT.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. We look forward to networking with you on community engagement in 2022, and a world without Alzheimer's and all other dementia!

Sincerely,

Heaven Wood

We are in a time of tremendous progress in Alzheimer research.

These advances have occurred on all fronts: genetic risk factors for Alzheimer’s, brain imaging, blood tests and other tests that may one day be used to diagnose Alzheimer’s. Presymptomatic diagnosis is explored and trials regarding disease modifying treatments are also
covered. We also know more about how our lifestyle influences our risk of Alzheimer’s and other dementias as we age.

This program reviews the very latest in Alzheimer’s disease research, in an easy to understand way. Come learn the latest in research that will someday offer disease altering treatments and possibly even ways to prevent or delay Alzheimer’s.

This meeting will be offered virtually, join online or by phone.  Once you have completed registration for the meeting, you will receive an email confirmation with the call-in information and instructions for joining our call.

Free, pre-registration required.

This is the first time we have brought back the talents of our amazing local musicians in 2 years and we couldn't be more thrilled. What sounds more relaxing and romantic than dining with your loved ones over a rack of lamb and a bottle of delicious Wise Villa wine with beautiful background music filling the air as you overlook a vineyard sunset? Don't miss the amazing talent we have in store as we bring back just a few of our favorite musicians for Friday night entertainment! Dates are still being filled so stay tuned to our social media for new musicians and dates.
