Join us for a special reception to unveil the photographs of the 2024 Sutter Buttes Calendar! View the photographs and celebrate the photographers featured in this year's calendar, an annual publication and fundraiser for the Sutter Buttes Regional Land Trust, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Light refreshments and hors d'oeuvres will be served. Calendars will also be available for purchase!

The exhibit will be on display in the Museum from August 4th to 24th.

The Marysville Chinese Community is partnering up with the Marysville Business Alliance, to bring you a  very special fundraising event on August 12, 2023. The event is to  help raise funds for the 2024 Bok Kai Weekend and to help with seed money for the MBA.  We are offering either Sushi or a Chicken Teriyaki  dinner and dessert.  Entertainment and an auction for two very special opportunities are going to also be presented.

 

We have table sponsorships available for $1200 or individual tickets at $100 each.  A full table sponsorship will consist of a table for 8 with preferential table location, complimentary bottle of wine and sake and logo in applicable media platforms.  Please be sure to indicate which dinner you would like to have.

 

Who are we and what do we do you ask?  

 

The Marysville Chinese Community is a non-profit organization 501(c) 665735998-6 responsible for maintaining the historic Bok Kai Temple, Chinese School Museum, the annual Bok Kai Weekend and helping to promote and educate Chinese Culture.  2024 will be the year of the Dragon, the Chinese Community is going to be in charge of the 144th Bok Kai Parade.  Arguably, one of the brightest gems of Marysville and brings thousands of visitors each year. The Temple itself is rich with tradition and history of local Chinese Americans.  The Temple regularly has worshipers from all over the world and is one of the last active temples from this era.

 

The Marysville Business Alliance was formed to revitalize Marysville through community events and create a unified voice to represent the business community at a City and County level and set the direction and vision for the future, incorporating the deep history of the area, music, arts, and culture.  Nurture, Create, Thrive and Grow.
