- An energy retrofit project installed in 2012 for the Yuba County Government Center, Court House and Health and Human Services building included solar panels expected to generate over one Megawatt of electricity and, together with a set of energy efficiency measures, reduce the county’s annual energy purchases by 50%. The project’s energy efficiency improvements include lighting at 10 county buildings and HVAC upgrades. Water retrofits are expected to reduce Yuba County’s water use by close to 35%. Overall, the project is expected to save the county over half a million dollars in its first year and almost $16 million over its life.
The Yuba County Alliance for Development (YuCAD) is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that was formed in 2007 to encourage communication between business, real estate and development sectors, and local government agencies. Our work to create a competitive environment that attracts companies and jobs is backed by the region's business community with continued funding from private-sector investors, as well as participating non-profit and government agencies. Strategic initiatives are developed among our partners with final decision-making authority by an investor board of directors.
YuCAD’s website at www.chooseyuba.com provides the most robust online residential, commercial and industrial property search engine available regionally. The website also highlights news updates and vital information for the business community. Visit our Investor's Page to see who is partnering with YuCAD.
