About Children's Home Society of CA
Children's Home Society of CA
Children's Home Society of California (CHS), where we have been dedicated to serving children and families for over 132 years. Since our inception in 1891, we have continually evolved to meet the ever-changing needs of our communities. Our mission is to protect children and strengthen families through various programs and services.
At CHS, we recognize the importance of viewing children within the context of their families' overall well-being. We firmly believe that families possess inherent strengths and resilience. Therefore, our programs and services are designed to support and enhance these strengths, empowering families to achieve self-sufficiency and thrive.
As a nonprofit organization, CHS is governed by a committed Board of Directors comprised of volunteers from across California. Guided by our President, who oversees agency operations, program services, and development efforts, we are dedicated to preserving our most significant asset, the CHS Endowment. Our team works tirelessly alongside highly-trained program staff, with additional support from key departments including Community Outreach, Quality Assurance, and Best Practices & Outcomes.
CHS operates from multiple locations in Los Angeles, California including Long Beach, Oakland, Orange, San Diego, Ventura, Woodland, and Yuba City. This widespread presence allows us to serve diverse communities throughout the state effectively.
At CHS, we are committed to making a lasting impact in the lives of children and families. Join us in our mission to create brighter futures for those we serve.
